Soon the Guelph Community Church will finish their remodel and we will be back in our church home. Chuck and Sue German had guests at their Elm Lake home on Sunday June 15. Barb and John Clark and Ashley Waite and foreign exchange student, Mirijam, all of Moorhead, came on Sunday and stayed overnight, leaving for their jobs on Monday morning. Marie Bopp, Jacob and Emily arrived about noon and had lunch with everyone. After helping with vari- ous jobs around the lake place, they left later that afternoon. Adam Waite and friend, Jake, Fargo, were also afternoon visitors. That evening, Matt and Ericca German, John and Rylee dropped by to with Chuck a Happy Father's Day, too. Sue German helped out at the Guelph School on Saturday, June 14, when several Oakes classes who were having their school reunion came out to view the GuelphSchool building and gym and reminisce about their time spent there during their 5th and 6th grade years over 30 years ago. We are so appreciative of everyone's business during our sale in the Park during Irrigation Days. There was so much positive feedback on our work. That goes a long ways towards our motivation. Also, during this time a school bus arrived in Guelph Saturday afternoon bearing former 5th & 6th grade students; bus drivers; cooks;etc. They were met by former staff members Ella Waite & Janet Burkhardt, as well as Earl Grady, chauffered by Elsie Voightman. They were served the famous 'Ranch Style Stew' complimented by various homemade goodies & got a chance to look around, exchange stories & reconnect. The regular meeting of the Guelph Community Development was held Monday evening, the 16th. The Food Committee met earlier to make Prepa- rations for our upcoming TURKEY BARBEQUE on JULY 20TH. We are trying to firm up plans for contracting the new roof. Jon Hansen was kind enough to lend his expertise in shedding light within our building. Thanks to Kaleb Sell & Alex Breitbach another maintenance proj- ect was completed in our building. Several people have booked our facilities for upcoming receptions & events now that we have air condi- tioning. There's a few clean-up projects on the agenda that might take an hour or so. Would you be willing help??? Call one of the board members to set up a time.. Kudos to Larry Thorpe & Jon Hansen for taking care of the lawn maintenance at the Ludden Cemetery. Looks fantastic? On Wednesday, the 18th, Linda Krause & Twyla Young donated some delightful treasures to enhance our inventory. Thanks so much!? The Thorpe household was the 'happenin' place as Robyn & Jason Matey were there for Robyn's 20 year class reunion (re~iIty??) dur- ing Irrigation Days. Throughottt the weekend family appeared & reap- peared much to the delight of the cousins.
