Section A - The Oakes Times, Thursday, October 7, 2004 G/over News ... June Masse- 701-742-2966 Doug Olson from Chillicothe, Ill., spent a few days at his parents', Bob and June, home last week. September 14, Alton and Corrine Skjefte, Deb Anderson, Kevin, April and Isabelle Harring, Melinda Becker and Rod Olderness were supper guests at the Bruce and Margo Skjefte home to help Bailey Skjefte celebrate her birthday. Orville and Jeanette Aune spent Saturday in Jamestown and helped Brian Klose, theirgrandson, celebrate his birthday. Angle Thompson was home from college for the weekend. Jill Thompson, Mrs. Tompkins of Jamestown and Linda Thompson enjoyed the Fort Ransom craft show last weekend. Monday afternoon, Oie Johnson picked up Rose and Emmet Hegwood and took them out to the farm for supper. Tuesday morning, Barb Erlandson stopped by to visit the Hegwoods. Tom and Giadys Kelly of Ellendale visited the Hegwoods on Thursday afternoon. Chuck and Linda Hector from Sauk Center, Minn., spent Wednesday afternoon visiting with Harvey and Iva Anderson. Relatives came from Michi- gan, Minnesota, Washington, South Dakota and North Dakota to attend the open house honor- ing Carsten and Sharon Fugl on their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday. Darlene Sveum of Cooper- stown spent the weekend with Phyllis MaRgin, Marvin MaRgin and Margie Podoll. Many attended the open house honoring Pete and Jeanette Slykerman on their 50th Wed- ding Anniversary on Saturday at the Catholic Hall in Verona. Wednesday evening Dale r] a N e t,us ... Phyllis Mangin- 701-432-5642 and Shirley Bachman of Fort Ransom visited Harvey and Iva Anderson. Dolores Henninger and AI Saunders spent Saturday and Sunday at The Sheyenne Valley Arts and Crafts activities in Fort Ransom. Thanks to Margaret and Fred Brademeyer. I was invited to exhibit his book with two other North Dakota authors during two days of book s'ign- ing sessions. Understand they set a record for attendance on Saturday and it really proved to be a most interesting experience meeting so many people as they passed through the Bear Creek building. A crowd gathered at the farm of Carsten arid Sharon Fugl on Saturday to congratulate them on their 50th wedding anniver- sary. Genevieve Brandt and Do- lores Henninger were Monday morning coffee guests of Ethel Gemar. Shirley Ragan visited Phyllis MaRgin and Margie Podoll one day last week. Bob and Julie Stroh of Chip- pewa Falls, Wisconsin spent the weekend with Harvey and Iva Anderson. Marvin MaRgin treated Phyl- lis MaRgin, Margie Podoll and Darlene Sveum to supper on Saturday evening. They enjoyed the Fish Fry in LaMoure. After- wards, they stopped briefly at Irene Podoll's. Dan and Phyllis Delahoyde hosted a birthday party for Kyle's birthday on Sunday. Guests were Nancy Mathews, Paul, Tammy and Elijah Mathews, Gerry, Dee, Brent and Mathew Bosse, Ted and Arlette Mathews of West Fargo. Kelly and Sharon Cooper spent Wednesday through Sunday in Duluth and enjoyed the beautiful Fall colors. Elwood and Beverly Anderson visited at the Emil and Mable Banderet home on Tuesday afternoon. Anna Mae Courtney of Oakes and Corrine Peterson, Cogswell, visited at the Don and Ruth Glarum home on Saturday afternoon. Hank and Deloris Hassebroek visited Grace Martins at Wheat Crest Hills in Britton on. Sunday Then they had supper with Joel and Karen Erickson, James and Kristen, and David Hassebroek.They celebrated Hank's birthday. Leo and Betty Rust attended the Republican pie social in Milnor. Laurie Banderet and Dick Johnson attended the Trivent Board meeting on Tuesday evening. On Friday evening, Marian Johnson attended the 10th District Auxiliary mccr J, in Harvey Dawson attended a sheep sale in Bismarck on Friday and returned home on Saturday. On Sunday afternoon, Louis Huffman hosted a surprise birthday party for Pauline at the Parish Hall in Cogswell. On Friday afternoon, Dick anti Jill Johnson went to Gardner and attended the party at the Drew and Meagan Barker home. Harvey, Phyllis, Corcy Lisa and Jordan Dawson attended the birthday party for Pauline Huffman at the Parish Hall in Cogswell. On Monday evening, Marian Johnson attended the Community Club meeting in Cogswell. Greg Glarum stopped at the home of his parents Don and Ruth, on Saturday evening and spent the night and was a Sunday dinner guest, On Wednesday morning, Elwood and Beverly Anderson visited Blanch Schlagel at Spruce Court in Britton. Don and Ruth Glarum were in Aberdeen on Tuesday. Louis and Pauline Huff man visited at the Elwood Anderson home on Thursday afternoon. Hank and Deloris Hassebroek had supper in Lake City on Saturday evening. Don, Leo and Will took in the Monarch football game with Valley City on Saturday. Will is a team member. On Thursday, Laurie Banderet and Tammy Mathews look in the Book Club meeting in O kcs. On Saturday, Marian Johnson, Kathy, Lindsey, Allison and Chuck Strutz went to Fort Ransom and took in the arts and craft show. Phyllis, Jordan and Lisa Dawson and Darla Knox went to the arts and craft show at Fort Ransom on Saturday.
